OAU student emerges Mr universe winner

Marcus Pius, a 20 year old undergraduate of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife has emerged as the winner of the 2013 Mr Universe Nigeria pageant.
He beat 35 other state delegates evenly represented across the nation to claim the Big star prize, A new Honda Accord branded with the Mr Universe Nigeria.
The event, which is the pageant’s second edition held on June 1, 2013 at the prestigious Scintilla Ball Room of the Scintilla Place, Lekki, Lagos.
Marcus Pius’ rising profile started when he contested at the 2nd edition at the Model of Africa Contest in 2012. However, he could not claim the crown but with his undaunted spirit, contested in the MUN Pageant which later brought him to spotlight.
