A couple of months back a tourist was also rape in the same country and late last year similar incident occurred where a student was gang raped in a bus and caused nation wide protest causing the Indian government to change their law on rape. Indian police reported that a 30-year-old American woman has been gang-raped in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh. Police said that the woman had been attacked after she accepted a lift by a group of men in a truck in Manali, a resort town in the state. She was then taken to a secluded spot n raped by four men. No arrests have been made but police had set up roadblocks, officials told the Associated Press news agency.
